A new city. New challenges.
I was lucky - born and brought up in Bombay, Law School in Bangalore, and job in Delhi. Three diverse cities and I got the opportunity (more like an accident) to live in them at different junctures of my life.
Delhi. A difficult friend, an easy enemy, and a known stranger - all three will fail to describe this city. A city of stories. A city of contradictions. A city full of history, culture, art, heritage - this is given company by the worst one can imagine in cities - crime, violence, dirty politics, etc. etc.
Rude. pompous. violent. dangerous. How can you live in such a city? I was asked, and warned. I decided (or had no option) to take the plunge.
Its like an arranged marriage. Excitement - to know a new person, their quirks, and discover the beauty.
Delhi - a city of narratives and stories. The auto-driver, house-help, staff, everyone has something to share. The only condition being - be open to listening.
Delhi - you found me.
